This piece celebrates the simple act of paying attention, whether it's sending a stupid meme out of the blue or picking up an extra snack for a friend because you remembered that it’s their favorite. It makes us feel known in a way that is precious and honest, meeting our friendships where they are without frills and lofty promises. One of my greatest fears is forgetting the value of being present, paying attention and celebrating the little ways we extend our love to friends close and far. This scene is my promise to treasure those details, especially when we’re feeling low.
